Multinational Manufacturer and Distributor Streamlines Business Operations with Compiere ERP
Redwood Shores, Calif. – May 26, 2009 – Compiere, Inc., the leader in open source and cloud-based ERP solutions, announced today that OSG Europe, the European headquarters of OSG Corporation, has successfully completed the implementation of Compiere ERP. OSG Europe is a multinational manufacturer and distributor of precision cutting tools used in the automotive, aerospace and precision instrument industries.
OSG Europe, which selected Compiere ERP because of its low cost, flexibility and ease of customization, is using the software to streamline operations, including order processing, inventory management, shipping, purchasing, financial analysis and accounting. With Compiere ERP, OSG Europe can now share country-level product, supplier and customer information enabling their central operations to have a consolidated view of these assets. OSG Europe worked closely with Belgium-based Compiere Partner, WinFloware, to integrate and customize Compiere to OSG's specific business needs and supported their rapid implementation.

More specifically, OSG Europe uses Compiere to:
- Automatically update sales, purchasing, and inventory transactions of their financially independent subsidiaries;
- Maintain separate accounts for the different company operating groups and have the ability to share products, customers, suppliers;
- Interface directly with their parent company in Japan (e.g. send orders or invoices electronically, and receive delivery information, and receipt of goods);
- Centralize Compiere in one location that eliminates duplicate entries between their subsidiaries and headquarters;
- Manage 50,000 different products; and
- Easily integrate barcode, labeling and quality control systems.
