Compiere Professional Edition Upgrade Ships
New Release Broadens Query and Reporting Capabilities from Web Interface
Redwood Shores, Calif. – Feb. 6, 2008 – Compiere, Inc., the global leader in open source business solutions, today announced immediate availability of expanded web-based query and reporting capabilities in its Compiere Professional Edition enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) application.

The enhanced web query and reporting system includes support for:
- Iterative refinement of complex query criteria through advanced search
- High performance sorting of large datasets through a middleware caching architecture that returns sorted results quickly without additional database processing
- One click export of query results for further analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel, OpenOffice.org CALC, and Google Docs
The new release validates Compiere's Commercial Open Source Release Model that brings innovative new functionality to market quickly, without sacrificing stability and supportability. The results of this recent eight-week product release cycle include the expanded query and reporting capabilities described above, plus more than 60 customer-requested or community-contributed enhancements.
Compiere subscribers migrate their production systems to the new software without impacting or changing any of the underlying ERP functionality by utilizing Compiere's automated migration tools.
